That’s why we’re proud to offer a range of pet-friendly accommodation options. This makes it easy for you and your four-legged companions to relax and explore the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside together.
Dog-friendly accommodation
Both Ploughman’s Cottage and our fully equipped holiday homes, including the Holly Caravan, welcome well-behaved dogs. These self-contained options provide plenty of space, comfort, and the flexibility to enjoy your stay at your own pace. Each has access to garden areas and is ideally located for walking routes right from the doorstep.
Start the day with breakfast
While our self-catering options let you prepare meals at your leisure; guests are also welcome to book in for a delicious cooked breakfast at the Guest House. Start your morning with a hearty meal before heading out on the trails — dogs are welcome to join you outside if the weather is fair and you’re dining alfresco.
Wonderful walks nearby
The surrounding area is a haven for dog walking, with many scenic trails to explore. Nearby Vicar Water Country Park is a local favourite, offering woodland paths and lakeside views. A short drive away, Sherwood Pines and Thoresby Hall also provide miles of dog-friendly walks through forest and parkland.
Paws for a cuppa
After stretching your legs, why not take a break at one of the many dog-friendly cafés nearby? Local favourites include Rumbles Café at Vicar Water, and the dog-welcoming outdoor seating areas at Clumber Park’s café and Sherwood Pines’ Forest Café — perfect for a well-earned treat for both you and your pup.
