We’ve done it! Bridleways receives two 4-Star AA Gold Awards in 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that Bridleways has received two AA Gold Awards! One for the Guest House and another for Ploughman’s Cottage from the AA this year. This achievement feels monumental for our entire team, who have poured their hearts into making Bridleways a place of comfort, quality, and charm. The AA rating is among the most respected in the UK hospitality industry, so reaching this level is a testament to all our hard work and dedication.

How we got here: The upgrades and enhancements we’ve made

Reaching this point didn’t happen overnight, and we’re so proud of the changes we’ve implemented over the past few years. Here’s a peek at some of what’s been happening behind the scenes:

• Revamping our rooms: We wanted our rooms to feel both comfortable and modern while keeping that classic, warm charm that Bridleways is known for. With some eco-friendly upgrades and plush new decor, each room offers a fresh yet homely vibe that’s perfect for unwinding.
• Guest-focused amenities: We’ve worked to make Bridleways a place where you can relax, recharge, and find joy in the little moments. Upgraded Wi-Fi and thoughtful accessibility features are now part of our standard, making sure all our guests feel at home.
• Refurbished our breakfast room: The breakfast room is one of the two former farmhouse cottages built in 1886. We wanted to give it a modern contemporary feel, whilst keeping some of the beautiful features such as the original ceiling beams and fireplace. We also wanted to bring the garden into the room so removed the window and installed a glass sliding door and steps leading into the garden. We are now able to serve alfresco breakfasts during the Summer.
